It seems no update is being sent to my dashboard, and when I try to induce the update, it fails.
Hi, this has been my second day using rescue time. Though I set updates to be sent every 10 minutes, updates are very infrequent. When I try to click "Send update now", I normally get the message of "Unable to connect to RescueTime, check connection info". Also, another problem is under the Basics tab, "Error: your operation has timed out" keeps reappearing even after it states "login success!", it soon reverts back to the previous message. This message is also induced when an update fails.

Inappropriate?Sorry for the difficulty-- I just tested it on my end and it seems to be working fine for me. Can you email team@rescuetime.com the following:
OS type (Windows or Mac)
email address you're using to try to log in with
your internet connection type (dialup, DSL, etc)
Whether you are behind a proxy server (to your knowledge)
Whether pages at RescueTime.com load abnormally slowly for you.
My gut feeling is that it sounds like the data collector isn't able to reliably make a connection before timing out (usually this is due to a slow connection).

Inappropriate?Unfortunately there isn't. I think we'd have to push a software update to the data collector.
The issue stems from the fact that we're making some pretty hefty changes to our database as we speak to make sure we can handle the volume of traffic/interest that we're getting.
In short, this should be a temporary problem (cross your fingers). Thanks for your patience with our growing pains.
Note: this shouldn't effect your ability to collect data on your machine-- it will just delay the upload process, so your data might be a bit out of date during peak times.
