More granularity for IM clients
Okay, this might be overkill for some people, but I work for a major web player, and we use IM quite extensively. I'd go as far as saying it's the main form of communication.
That means that most people have their IM client running all day long, and are more or less "living" in it. For example, not only do I have my co-workers on my contact list, but also my wife, friends, personal acquaintences etc.
So just having a RT entry saying "Adium" doesn't help me much, as I'm (at this point) can only tag it w/ "communication" or some such, but can't say for sure "work" or "personal".
Is there the possibility to go the "browser way" with this? Taking notes about the contact in addition to the program name?
Thanks for considering,
C.

Inappropriate?This is an awesome idea!
The Good News - we are looking at features that dive deeper into applications so that we can get more granularity.
Window titles, open documents, working directories, etc are definitely things that we want to work into. Of course there are some technical hurdles and privacy concerns that all need to be taken into account, but we have some ideas on how to improve this portion of RescueTime.
The Bad News - it's going to take some time for us to get there. Our last feature survey showed that more detailed granularity was in the top 5 of requested features, so it is something we are working towards, but there are a few things in front of it.
Keep the ideas coming in

Inappropriate?I support your plea!
I personally hacked my life a bit for this-- I use Meebo for all of my social IM and use Pidgin for all of my work IM... But that's not as granular as I want it to be.
I’m thankful
