Offline Tasks pop-up is stuck?
Hi folks,
I upgraded to Pro recently - since I wanted the document tracking functionality and the built-in offline tasks seemed a nice bonus :)
However, I'm noticing that for the last 48 hours or so, my offline tasks pop-up has been stuck. 1st example - earlier today, after coming back from a meeting:
As you can see, it's saying that I've been away for 15:01 minutes from 11:18 AM, while the real time is 11:46 AM.
Example 2 -
Again it says 11:18 AM, 15:01 minutes and now the real time is 1:32 PM!
I just checked my dashboard for today and it's clear that the data collector is actually reporting the correct offline time to the service - abt. 2 hrs in a meeting for example 1 and 1h 4m for the 2nd example.
Can you please fix the display bugs?
This plus the missing filters glitch is making me a sad panda :(

Inappropriate? The logic for the Offline Time works like this:
If there is no keyboard or mouse activity for 5 minutes, display the Offline Time dialog and continue updating the "Total Time Elapsed" until there is some sort of keyboard or mouse event detected.
Once activity has been detected the "Total Time Elapsed" counter freezes, and will not restart regardless of how long you let the computer sit. This is somewhat on purpose, but behavior that we may change in the future based on feedback - we've argued about it internally ;)
Once you select an Offline Time button and dismiss the Offline Time dialog, all of the counters reset and the next time a 5 minute "idle" is detected it will re-display the Offline Time dialog with new values.
If your Offline Time is never counting a "Total Time Elapsed" of more than 15 minutes, and it is consistently 15 minutes, then I would hazard a guess that you have another application or process that is sending a keyboard or mouse event every 15 minutes.
In the past, we have seen some screen savers that do this, and there are third party utilities that try to prevent the computer from sleeping by simulating a non-intrusive keypress (like the shift key) periodically.
Let me know if that helps explain what is going on with your system. It is certainly possible we've got a counter bug in there somewhere!
Thank you -
Inappropriate?Hi Joe,
I spent a little more time looking at this, and I still believe that there is some problem with the UI. Take a look at this screenshot:

The screenshot was taken at 1:31 PM. The counter is stuck at 11:46 AM and 7 minutes which was the previous offline task recorded. This is the same behaviour I saw with the "15 minutes" timer I first posted about.
The screensaver I use is the stock "Windows XP" logo screensaver and it it set to activate in 15 minutes.
I don't have any utilities set to prevent my laptop from sleeping - my Power Scheme is set such that if I'm on AC power, the machine never sleeps.
I’m determined to get to the bottom of this...

Inappropriate?Hi Joe,
Hopefully this should help explain what I mean by a "stuck" UI -
So the first screen-grab was taken at 12:30 PM local time. As you can see it says "what were you doing since 05:14 PM" which is actually from the previous day evening.
Even better, an hour or so later I come back and this time the UI says "what were you doing since 12:30 PM" which is exactly the previous time at which I recorded an offline task!
Does this help?
I’m confident I've helped nail this bug down

Inappropriate? Thanks for the additional information Balaji! That helps me focus where to look for the problem.

Inappropriate?Hi Joe,
Just realized I got upgraded to 2.1.0.101. Looks like the stuck popups are fixed! Thank you very much.
I’m happy
