Please consider releasing your application in stand alone flavor... so I won't have to use virtualization software to extract the goodness inside your installer.

Inappropriate?I use XP Pro SP2.... and VMware
-
Inappropriate?Understood! We will be adding links to the download page that will allow you to manually install the application by just copying it to a directory - no installer. We are trying to figure out how to handle auto-updates with those types of installations, but at worse case, you could also manually install the updates.

Inappropriate?Shazzam! That's a quick response! (and the one I wanted)
thanks.. I'll start using after that release.. it'll save me the hassle... and you'll attract more 'other' people
I’m thrilled

Inappropriate?Aren't updates usually handled by firing a smaller application to download- and overwrite bits?
-
Inappropriate? We have a smaller app that does perform the updates, which we've got to test with manual installations. There are a couple of install requirements it has at the moment. We'll work out the issues and let you know when the stand alone versions are available.
