Remarks about initial registration/installation
I just installed rescuetime and here's a few remarks:
When you install the application for the first time it's totally non obvious what you should put in the password field of the preferences window.
The email you receive says "Password: As IF we would send you your password in cleartext!". Mhh thanks but how I am supposed to know where to get my password?
After a bit of fiddling i found out I had to go in the settings page on rescuetime.com and put my password there.
I felt stupid because initialy you arrive on a page which explain that you have to follow three steps and nothing there explains how to setup the password. I thought I had missed something.
Somehow I got unlogged from the website. I was logged after clicking the registration confirmation link in the email but after opening the dashboard through the systray i was unlogged.
After installation the the setup was still visible in the taskbar but nowhere to be found(clicking on the setup in the taskbar did nothing). I had to kill it from the task manager.

Inappropriate?We are constantly tuning our sign-up process based on user feedback, so this is great feedback for us. Obviously, we want to make this process as smooth as possible.
I'm a bit confused on the issue you had with setup though. Did RescueTime not automatically start after you had installed? Or did the Installer application hang on you? -

The installation went fine, rescuetime launched but after installation the installer didn't shutdown properly. It was still in the process list and took one slot in the taskbar (when you clicked on the setup item in the taskbar nothing happened). I had to kill the process manually. -
Inappropriate?Ah, that makes sense now. I'll take a look at the installer and try to see why it would have stayed running.
