Rescuetime crashes on startup on clean installation.
I've just downloaded rescuetime and installed it, and when I try to run it (with both rescuetime.exe and rescuetimestart.exe) it gives me the same error message:
"Rescuetime has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I reinstalled it and still the same message. I've looked for a log to send y'all, but I don't have any idea of what to send!
As far as I know, my .net is completely up to date. What version does rescuetime run best on?

I have this problem, too!

Inappropriate?RescueTime currently requires .net 2.0. The latest .net 2.0 with sp1 has been working great.
Which OS are you using? -
Inappropriate?I'm on XP, and it looks like I have .net 3.0. Not sure how to find the exact version number...

Inappropriate?Hi, can I have some help? I'd really like to get this working, but I have no idea how to do it on my own.
I’m getting impatient

Inappropriate? You can find the .Net 2.0 installation from Microsoft here:

Unfortunately RescueTime really does require .Net 2.0 and is not currently working with just .Net 3. The good news is that you can happily install both on you computer without any issues.
Thanks!
