Rescuetime without an internet connection
If the computer that I want to track doesn't have an internet connection (only intranet) can I still use Rescuetime?

Inappropriate?RescueTime is really two different components.
The first is the data collector which is a small app that sits on your computer and tracks what you are paying attention to (applications and websites). That tracked data is stored locally on your computer for a period of time and ever so often RescueTime will attempt to send that data to our servers.
The second portion of RescueTime is the analytical website that gives you a number of ways of viewing that collected data. Without the website and the data being sent to our servers, RescueTime in it's current incarnation is not very useful.
A potential work-around for your situation is to run RescueTime on your intranet only computer - and manually copy the log files to another computer that is connected to the internet and can communicate with our server. You could then run the RescueTime application on the internet connected system long enough to send the updates to the RescueTime servers.
I know of at least one other person that is doing that, but I realize that is not very user friendly.
If it does sound like something you want to explore further, let me know and I can give you a more detailed set of instructions for setting this up.
Thanks!
