Tagging text-editor work on the extension being edited.
Is it possible to assign a tag based on the extension for the file I'm currently editing in a text editor?
I use a text editor (PSPad, specifically) for many types of work. Sometimes I use it to write personal documents (TXT files). Sometimes I code stuff (AHK files). Sometimes I edit webpages (HTML/PHP files).
These are all different activities done using the same program. I'd like to have some way to tag my activities within PSPad based on the current file extension (which appears in the window caption, by the way).
Is that possible?

Inappropriate?I have the same (similar) question -- not just extension but the ability to modify tags by filename would be helpful.
For example (actual case for me), most of the time when I'm using Excel I'm editing financial spreadsheets or writing macro code and I'm being productive. However, I also use Excel to fart around with gear and builds for my World of Warcraft characters, which is not that productive. For real life.
