Too much time is labelled "Everything else"
I suspect that my time isn't being logged correctly. In one particular hour I spent my time in applications tagged with "work". The graph for that hour says I spent 9 minutes on work and 48 on "everything else". I've looked at the logs of all the apps and sites and I can't see enough time spent during that hour to make up the 48 minutes.

Inappropriate?Just so I make sure I understand, let me restate what I think you are saying.
For a particular hour today, RescueTime logged 55 minutes of activity and it shows that 9 minutes of that activity was tagged as "work" as defined by you. However, you were expecting that your amount of "work" for that hour should be closer to the 55 minutes.
If you view the app/site details for today, do the items tagged as work in that list add up to less than you expect as well?
Thanks! -
Inappropriate? That's about right. Nothing stands out for the rest of the day.
Here's a breakdown of the logs for every app/site that logged time at 8pm BST on April 3rd 2008:
RescueTime: 5:42
Fulbright: 0:35
Getsatisfaction.com: 0:34
Kmd.projectpath.com: 2:12
Which is a total of 11:03, which is less than the total time reported for that hour.
I'm running the linux uploader. -
Inappropriate?I think this could be a bug in the linux uploader. Looking at its log files it doesn't always include the extended_info attribute for firefox, so presumably would be reporting a lot of unknown URLs. I've upgraded to the latest version as it looks like that bug has been fixed https://bugs.launchpad.net/rescuetime...
