Update - File Download Error
H. I've just installed the client and set it up for my account etc. Then I went to Check for Updates and the download got about half way through before crashing with a File Download Error. The following was in the log file:
Downloading files
No. file requests: 1
Download file: RescueTime.exe, 184320
The server call succeeded, but the file is either corrupt or the server does not permit this file to be downloaded. Ensure you can retreive the file by typing its URL directly into your browser. Check log for file dump to diagnose error.

Inappropriate? We were performing some server maintenance around that time frame, it is possible that the server stopped accepting connections or canceled the transfer.
Do you get the same error if you try to get the update again?
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Nope I am still getting the same error when I run the update.

Inappropriate?I'm not sure why the updater is not working for you. To manually download the new RescueTime.exe, you can do the following steps:
1. Quit RescueTime
2. Download the file: http://www.rescuetime.com/updates/Res...
3. Replace the RescueTime.exe in your c:\Program Files\RescueTime directory with the above file.
4. Restart RescueTime
I will be updating the installer with the latest version so this doesn't happen to new installs.
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Having the same problem, and I also had to reinstall RescueTime last time you updated. Then it did not report any error but just stalled the install process.
