Using RescueTime Offline??
Also, often I use my computer (laptop) offline, and I still want to be able to log my usage.
I have read the privacy policy, but blind trust is not enough. I really dont need my data going out into cyber space at all.
The more people who like this idea, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?Well, it doesn't "post" it anywhere public-- though the data does live on the web-- in the same way that gmail stores all of your private mail, and Google records 18 months of your search history. And there's Mint.com, Quickbooks Online, etc. We think there are tons of reasons why web software is ultimately a great (and secure) way to go for RescueTime-- but the "online versus offline" is a well-covered debate elsewhere.
RescueTime offers a lot of privacy features, including the ability to delete your data (small bits of it or all of it), ignore certain apps, and pause the data collection. We have some features out coming soon that will allow users to "whitelist" the stuff that you want to monitor, leaving everything else to be lumped into "other web browsing".
We'd love to have RescueTime be perfect for everyone-- but we just can't pull that off. An offline version is probably not in the cards. Too many of the cool features we have in mind depend on the web.
I’m wishing we could make everyone happy.

Besised having an offline widget, I'm currently using and like very much TPM reminder where every X minutes it request to be told what are you up to if you dont reply it goes into iddle category.
I've been testing a lot of apps. Yours is one of the best. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work which already is TOP NOTCH

Inappropriate? What if you had your own server capturing your rescuetime data? Would that make sense for those security minded folks?
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate?I trust Rescue Time and dont have nothing to fear when it comes to those privacy concerns.
I would like to have it offline just to register those moments as well
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I'm still learning exactly what rescuetime is, but it sounds a lot like Vakcer Time Tracker. A good solution if you want an offline tool.
I’m not an employee of vakcer...just trying to help.
