Windows Data Collector - Firefox high cpu usage issue patch - 0.9.6.83
Multiple users have reported issues with the 0.9.6 release where Firefox CPU usage would go to 100% when RescueTime was running.
I have just published a patch which I hope will resolve the issue. Unfortunately we have been unable to reproduce the issue on our test systems, so I will be looking for verification that this does or does not resolve the issue for you.
Here are the release notes for this patch:
0.9.6.83 - 2007/10/23
Bugs Fixed
- Reverted Firefox URL routines to a non-recursive solution. Hopefully this will prevent the high Firefox CPU usage being reported by users. Unfortunately this has the side affect of no longer allowing Netscape Navigator URLs from being parsed. A longer term solution is being looked at.

Inappropriate? Now it is working now for my Firefox. For the last case I had, when the CPU usage hiccuped to 100%, it was when my firefox was loaded with quite some addons.
When running with a different set of addons, the usage of CPU actually didn't go up that high.
I’m thankful it worked

Inappropriate? This seems to have solved the problem for me, too. Works great with Turkish regional settings and without CPU peaks now =)
