Wrong year (2005) always displayed on Windows XP!
I have a Dell Inspiron 1300 with Windows XP. The date always says 2005, even when I go into the Date/Time area and change it to 2008 and click Apply. It automatically keeps going back to 2005. The day and month are correct, it's just the year that's always 2005. Any suggestions? This is causing a lot of problems for my files which automatically pull the date from the computer. Thanks!

Inappropriate?Keep,
This is the forum for RescueTime. Though, my guess is that your system board battery has failed and your hardware keeps reseting to the default BIOS date (which happens to be sometime in 2005). If this is the case, it should only happen when you reset or turn off your computer.
Another guess could be virus or spyware related, depending on how technically savvy you are, I would probably suggest contacting your local computer repair shop to get them to help you out.
Good luck hunting down your problem! -
