Not sure if more info is needed, but basically want a version of the Dashboard that will be useful in teh side bar so I can pop it open at anytime to see what is going on within my "RescueTime."
There is a problem with using local files in the browser. I use the FF3-AddOn UpdateTracker which saves whole sites on the hard disc (to check for changes) and uses a local path for that when displaying the data in FF3. But Rescuetime has a problem with that and assigns this time to another site (maybe the last one used before). Now I have up to 40 minutes of a site I just visited for 2 minutes or so. I saw what's the problem by looking what the debug window says. Everytime I clicked on a tab with a local path it logged the other URL.
Why is there no https access to the website with the free 1 person account? I can understand to take money for the team features, but https is a security-must-have even for the free accounts! It's very sensible data in the dashboard of every user so https can't be a payable feature in my eyes. Will you ever change this in the near future?
The "Today" at my dashboard and also the calendar still show Monday although it is Tuesday in Germany. So this does not orientate on the location date but maybe on server date.
This leads to a total time of 5h 25m total and 4h 50m today (although there are 0:35 minutes transfered for Tuesday until now).
At the "Time Spent" chart at "This Week" it is right. This one shows the right times for Monday and Tuesday. But not on the "Today" charts.
Particularly, things like times I switched into email or IM (which I often due to procrastinate the task i'm working on). Maybe even a guess on times I've been interrupted. Also how much time I'm spending in a browser.
I would like to be able to set goals over a period other than "day" and "weekday". Specifically, I would like to say "at least 1 hour per week on tagX".
Since I work with audio and video, the title of the particular Category - "Fun" - doesn't sound right to me.
Something that you work with for hours a day (and nights) and gives you lots of headaches can't be exactly "fun"... ;-)
Maybe the name of the Category can be just Audio/Video?
What do you guys think?
The weekly summary should be talking not only about the app but also about the category and tag. Even butter, we should be able to tel what kind of data we want to see in this summary and if we want them to be visual or numbers.
On the other side, it would be great to know in the summary how the ranking of apps/category/tag changed, with for exemple: "n°6: iCal (Last week: 2nd)" or with a up/down arrow, green if the app is productiv, red if not.
How about having a tab called "All Apps" instead of "All Apps & Sites" - This allows us to view our apps usage alone without having to view websites along with it? Else, I believe I will have to go and add another filter called "offline" and tag all my apps again so that I can view just apps.
Is there any chance of tracking idle time as a separate category?
I'm really interested in the amount of time the computer is just sitting there and doing nothing. THAT is what is really costing me money.
I want one item to have two tags and have the time split between those two items. Is that possible? I use Outlook for both work and personal and preferably I'd like to be able to set up a ration (for example, Outlook should count as 2/3 personal, and 1/3 work)
maybe I've missed this but can RT log the time from when I logon my computer to when I log off i.e the hours in my 'working day'? That way I can see how much time I'm spending away from my PC and how long a 'real' day is rather than a preset time.
I'd like to be able to see a composite graph of several similar time periods together:
Example 1: Combine all productivity graphs showing hourly data on Tuesdays so that I can see a more rounded picture of when I'm most productive on that day. (I expect it says don't bother trying to do anything but nap straight after lunch!)
Example 2: Stack my bar charts of things tagged "work" each week on top of each other so I can see patterns in the data.
My irssi window is being logged as ssh for reasons I can't understand.
Is there a way to tell rescuetime what certain window titles mean, or help it learn?
