Massively Multiplayer Online GTA?
Who thinks the multiplayer could do with more than 16 people in the free play mode? The city is so huge it would be nice to play with much more, and I know it's possible. Maybe I just want a more MMOG type system for GTA?

Inappropriate?Some of the original rumors for GTA4 were just that, if I remember correctly. I haven't yet played a full-up 16 person multiplayer game yet, but my intuition says you're right; the more the better.

That's a whitepaper describing a set of techniques to have a thousand concurrent players in a single FPS game playing together. The demo they have on channel9 was pretty breathtaking when I saw it last year.
When we reach that level, a massive, persistent GTA city would be an amazing thing to behold. All of the cool little stories that you see in GTA right now would only get even better as you put real people behind more of the characters. -
Inappropriate?Hahaha i've never played multiplayer before gta4 and its awesome as!i keep dieing.. its very addictive.but i reckon it takes to long to set up and stuff...expecially when people dont know what they're doing..i dont think when ive been playing ive actually ever gotten out of the specified area cos i keep dieing so i dont have any proplems with that. it would be good for more players but..more people like me who suck so i can kill them when they think i suck!all i can say is people should stop using the rocket launcher and use real guns..without the aim assitence! although i like the fact that i fly in the air when i die.haha anyways seeya!
