Who called text messages have to go!
Rogers has a "feature" that comes with voicemail plans that sends you a text message alert you miss a call.
This is intended to show you missed calls if your phone is turned off or out of range. They also happen to send you a text message when a person leaves a voicemail. Oh, and you can't remove it from your plan (I've tried through customer service but was told it was impossible unless I downgraded my whole plan).
So... if someone calls and I miss it and they leave a voicemail (even with the phone on), I get:
- Missed call alert from the phone itself
- Text message from Rogers indicating I've missed a call
- A voicemail alert from my phone
- Text message from Rogers indicating I have a voicemail
- The voicemail itself
This is an annoying amount of redundant information for a useless feature that can't be turned off. If I receive something important enough while my phone is off the caller will leave a voicemail. That's all I need.

Inappropriate?the who called feature can be disabled, call into tech support and the rep can exclude it from the services..
this i know because i have done this myself.. -
Inappropriate?I just dialed 611 (Rogers) from my cell, voice commanded for a customer service rep, and then asked her to remove the feature. It was removed immediately.
