Needed packages
Yeaha, it's running under gentoo.
I started from a very basic system that's why I had to install all dependencies step by step. Airfoil Speakers for Linux requires all of the following packages:
mono
gtk-sharp
avahi
alsa (header, drivers)
if you receiving the following problem:
"ERROR: We could not load the Audio Player library. Please ensure that the audio player library is accessible in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH and is compiled for your playform.
We were looking for: libAFSAudioPlayer"
You might have some problems with alsa and/or it's libraries headers (the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is automatically set correctly by the run_airfoilspeakers script)

Inappropriate?Ah, well, I installed Avahi on Ubuntu Hardy, and it broke the system. Avahi conflicts with the Zeroconf utility in Ubuntu Hardy. So this solution won't work for me.
