What does ROOV stand for? Is it an anacronym?(misspelled). There is no name of
its founder, or defined purpose, and it is predominantly Protestant. Some don't list their faith affiliation. "Get satisfaction" is the target of any sales pitch, so I am curious what
groove "roov" is into? How about an honest confession, since you halted my lisitng the "press" as not a valid entry? Ed Peffer, Cypress, CA. I am pro-life.

Inappropriate?Evidently ROOV is a frosted cupcake, as this illustration suggests. That's sweet, and easy to handle. It might even have a chococate fflavor, but I don't see how that relates to ROOV or how it makes me feel.

Inappropriate?Ed,
First, let me say a thanks for checking out ROOV! And second, I'd like to say another hearty thank you for taking your time to write us your thoughts and feedback on here! It is both welcome and appreciated.
As for what ROOV stands for...it's not an acronym or abbreviation of any sorts. We are using the word to create a new meaning. A "ROOV" is anything that a person has done, is doing or wants to do. More simply put...it's a "shared experience." Our intent behind this definition is that ROOVs are the means by which people can connect with each other through (1) conversations and (2) gatherings. For example, if you have been on "Missions to Uganda"...then that would make for a great experience to connect with other like-minded people of faith about.
There aren't any bios of us, the team, on the site because we're all very passionate about the vision behind this project and we try to keep it focused around that as opposed to about us. But as for some more info about "us," we're a team of 8 spread out across the US...ranging in age from our 20s to 30s.
As for the churches on ROOV, there is a wide range of beliefs/denominations on the site. The guideline for acceptance is the Apostolic Creed...so ROOV does not have any church affiliation whatsoever. The users who have signed up to date are the reason for it reflecting Protestant...however, there are many users currently on ROOV who come from Catholic and non-denominational churches as well.
Hope this helps to answer your questions. My apologies if I didn't explain things better...I tried to keep this post concise for the sake of brevity and your time. Please don't hesitate to contact myself if I can ever be of help or answer any more questions.
Again, from myself and the entire ROOV team...we really appreciate your time and candid feedback.
With warm regards,
Micah
