I have encountered this 1 month passed and no book arrived problem for Mental Model. And that is resolved but it took some pain (and time) nevertheless.
I ordered Web Form Design and hope that that is a one-off thing.. Ordered it on May 11, and now still have not arrived....
Not only is your store need to be revamped.. your inability to deliver and *extreme* charging is something you may want to address. I have no problem paying but it needs to be delivered! Period!
$15 shipping to Canada seems extreme. I'd be interested in the web form design book, but that's not value for money. Often there's a special shipping rate for US to Canada vs the rest of the world.
I know that you can get them delivered internationally, but why don't you get Amazon.co.uk to stock your books? The shipping charges make me think twice before ordering, that's for sure.
I recently ordered Web Form Design in hardcopy. I live in Sydney Australia, so I'm expecting it will take a while (1 to 3 weeks as informed during the ordering process) and am looking forward to getting my hands on the actual book.
I am wondering if there is a way to track my order?
This could just be my opinion, but i'm finding the typeface chosen for both books a little hard on the eyes. It's hard to describe what's bothering me about it. The best thing I can come up with is that it feels a bit "thin". It may just be the way the type looks when printed on the particular paper, but I might suggest looking at a couple other typefaces for future books.
Does anyone else have an opinion on this matter? Am I just crazy?
Great work on the quality content so far. I look forward to future publications!
I had been getting a bit frustrated with the navigation model for the Rosenfeld Media site, so I created a page called "Roselfeld Media - The Missing Sitemp". Perhaps other people will find it useful.
I just bought a digital copy of Web Form Design. However, when I clicked on the link to download the .pdf it downloads the html of the page. Thinking that it might be a web browser problem (I had been using Safari) I decided to open it in Firefox, however it says I can't access it because I have to sign in first.
I ordered with the Guest option where I didn't enter a password, only an email address. Is there a way to fix this? Or, if it should be able to work with Safari, is there another way to download the pdf?
I purchased the Web Form Design and I saw 2 order history with my previous Mental Model in it. I know that is not the case cause previously when I login I see no order history even though I did have order Mental Model. Now I login and the Mental Model is gone. Is it possible that RM map my email address to my RM account and somehow sync it for me. I know it involve manual database hacking, but I hope it can be done.
I just purchased the print + digital version of Web Form Design, but every time I click on the link to download the PDF both Firefox 2 and IE 7 hang forever. Eventually Acrobat kicks up the message "This file is damaged and cannot be repaired."
I bought a digital version of Mental Models in February when it first came out but would actually prefer to own the printed version due to its sheer volume. Do I get a discount if I "upgrade" to the printed version or do I need to re-purchase the book again? I hope the former.
I wanted to see if my book had shipped and clicked the "Web" link under the "Need Help?" section of the order confirmation email (http://www.rosenfeldmedia.com/storein...).
The page I go to only has the following in the main content area of the website:
[content]
Thought you might want to know about this. Wrong URL?

I've tried to re-download my file, as did Julie last week. The login function isn't accepting my credentials, as it insists on populating the password field with about a dozen extra characters on submitting the creds.
I'll try this again. hopefully this doesn't result in a double post. This form stalled out on the ajax-y part when I had to create a username and password.
Anyway, I need to redownload mental models onto a different computer. My corporate email is down (not your fault) and was the address I entered for the download instructions to be sent to, so I can't access the download instructions. There is no "login" feature on the rosenfeldmedia site that I can find that would allow me to look at my digital library or some such.
How can I redownload the book before I get on a plane this afternoon? I suppose I could just use my flash drive and transfer it from my home computer to my work computer but a) not sure if you have some fancy rights management stuff on the file and b) I am lazy :)
I ordered the Mental Models book a few days ago on Amazon.com. However, after having checked out RosenfeldMedia, I realised that it comes with a digital version. Am I entitled to download it? If so, how?
I ordered the Indi Young book on February 14, and received a confirmation email. Haven't yet received the book, however.
I've emailed customer service last week as per instructed in the confirmation email, but I've recieved no response and no information as to my order status. If there's been a delay in shipping due to stock, that would be fine, but it would be nice to be notified, or get a response from customer service as to my order status. Please advice - thank you.
A small thing but perhaps useful to others: it was a little tricky finding the field to type in the credit card security code. Perhaps have all the labels in one column (e.g. right aligned) and all the fields in the next column (left aligned)?
I suggest making the book cover image on the main product page a link to the book cover image in Flickr (and possibly adding a "Book Cover" link under Book Content).
It's not immediately obvious that the book cover image is included in Diagrams, and it's a very important image for marketing purposes.
