While I think it's important to keep Rososo as simple as possible I'd still like to have the option of marking some bookmarks as no longer fresh without following the actual link.
In a way I really dig how Rososo encourages you to have only those bookmarks you really want to visit, but sometimes I've already read the new content without following the Rososo link. Granted, I can visit, quickly return and then reload the page in a few seconds, but a simple button next to the "x" (maybe an "o"?) would help me achieve maximum peacefulness. :)
Rososo see's the sites as having valid RSS feeds, they are added successfully and it shows that there are recent updates. But when actually clicking the link, the error message "Invalid feed" occurs.
I have tried re-adding these feeds as well as verifying them in Google Reader; Google reader handles them just fine.
I was thinking that it might be nice to be able to sort feeds by a few different criteria, such as number of new items, time since last unread update (as opposed to time since last update) and a simple alphabetical listing. I do see the draw in having just a single behaviour and keeping it simple, but I find that sorting by last update tends to keep certain high-volume feeds near the top of the list all the time, which can be annoying. Any thoughts on this?
Craigslist RSS Feeds - keep showing as 'updated' but no new listings are there.
For example, if I'm searching for an apartment under $800 in a specific city and I subscribe to the RSS feed that craigslist provides (bottom right hand corner in craigslist) or a specific job search term - in Rososo it keeps showing as 'updated' when it actually hasn't been updated - no new apartments or jobs are listed. It seems to almost do this once an hour (?).
I'm not sure if it's a problem with rososo or with how craigslist works.
When I click any link now, a new window opens with that website. The Bookmark page therefore doesn't get updated (where the link should be going to the stale bookmark area). This just started happening yesterday and is the same on multiple computers.
I imported my feeds from Google Reader's OPML (it's a rather large number), and I find that many sites are not updating. (I think that generally deleting and re-adding the links does not cause them to be updated again. The site's are not marked as "bad rss".) The feeds are all still being updated in Google Reader.
(I find that none of my twitter, livejournal, or wordpress feeds are updating. I'm not sure if that's a pattern.)
What should I try in order to get my feeds updating?
All of a sudden none of my 12 bookmarks are showing the new content on those sites. It worked fine for weeks. Now. nothing. I click on the "stale" bookmark link and that site is showning fresh content. What gives, do you think?
Signal vs. Noise and Dinosaur Comics stopped displaying, and I had to manually add back the RSS feed. I don't know which other feeds of mine just chose to stop displaying, but I'm guessing many have become incompatible.
Help people get started quickly: allow them to import their feeds from Google Reader, Bloglines, etc. A basic OMPL import function would do the trick, could be automated later.
With regards to my previous error, I opened Rososo in Firefox 3. I found that I could check my stale bookmarks and open the Add New Bookmark box.
However, every feed I've attempted to add has brought up the error "There was a problem adding that bookmark". I removed a feed I'd already added, and tried to add it again, but got that error. I removed the http://, and the same happened.
Every time I enter the address and click the box, the feed title box appears with the correct feed name. Then I click Add Site, it loads, and the error appears. It's not listed in my Stale bookmarks still.
Recently, I've been using Rososo with Opera 9.60. Up until yesterday, I could add and remove bookmarks, as well as check my stale bookmarks. This morning, every time I clicked on either the Add Bookmark or the Check Stale Bookmarks button, the URL changed to rososo.com/#, and nothing happened. I tried restart, and then I installed Flash 10. No joy.
Admittedly, I'm currently using Opera on Ubuntu, which Flash 10 doesn't explicitly say it supports. But I don't think the site uses Flash.
EDIT: I just cleared out my cache. I now can't go to any tab. Not the login tab, not the about tab.
