I just got an Omnia i900 (Player Addict from Orange, France), but can't figure out how to use the GPS.
First I tried to make geolocalized photos as a test. The satellite icon appears as brown, and never switches to anything else, and the geodata are not saved together with the photo.
Second, I tried Google Maps to find me automatically, but GPS wasn't recognised either.
I've checked the Settings/System where I have "Port programme GPS" as COM3, "Port Materiel GPS" at COM9, and it's set for automatic handling. Are these the correct settings? How could I make GPS working?
I was just wanting to drop a short note to say that I love this brand. I am an internet marketing consultant, and I feel as though people need to hear this. I understand that this is primarily a medium to handle problems/issues, but some praise is deserved. When I'm buying ANYTHING I always check and see what Samsung has to offer first and foremost. I have never had any problems with any of their products and will continue to stay up to date on all new offers in the future. Each product is always tactfully designed, and seriously well built. From phones to monitors - Samsung is my brand.
