Overheard's emotion feature is unclear Last reply on June 30, 2008 06:27.

It turns out that the emotion applies not to your reply to the post you "overheard", but to the overheard post yourself. How was I to know this? I thought I was happy to clear up a bit of confusion for a user, and also I can't tell what state they'd list themselves as in (other than, perhaps, happy or angry).

What the? Last reply on June 29, 2008 19:02.

What is this? I was just trying to find out my username on twitter, and all of the sudden I have an account on "Get Satisfaction." Well, I can't! Then, I tried to delete my account, and there's no way to do that. It's like I'm stuck in here forever. I just want to delete the account I never wanted in the first place! C'mon!

Unspecific notification settings are annoying Last reply on June 29, 2008 17:30.

From your "Email & Notifications" settings:

"Send me email at my primary email address about new replies on topics I have posted, replied to, or followed"

    That is really unspecific!
How about setting these per posting?
Usually If I have posted a problem myself, I want a notification on any comment.
But if I am only annoyed by something, like Twitter's IM-feature turned of, I don't want an email whenever another poor guy replys with "yes, this is so bad!", but I still want to follow that posting to show Twitter that it is important.

Problem handling less-than sign in bug submission text field Last reply on June 29, 2008 13:20.

    Hi,

I ran into a bug with the very field I'm typing this into right now (the textarea element).

I was submitting a bug report to a developer and it was botching up when I put a less-than sign into the text (<). Using an "&" + "lt;" works just fine for making less-than signs, but you're apparently not parsing the text and doing a simple substitution before displaying it... most likely a simple oversight, but very annoying =P

Official Reps: Mark your reply as an Official Response if you want it to stick to the top of the conversation Last reply on April 16, 2008 00:48.

Clicking "Official Response" will designate your answer as the official word from your company or organization by attaching a nifty Official Response banner to your reply. It also keeps it sticky at the top of the page! Just be sure you don't use it on every reply or it may lose it's impact.

If an old topic has a new response, you can uncheck the old official response and mark the new one as "Official Response". You can also begin your response with the word "Update" or the like to indicate that it's new information.

How do I manage my notifications?

Where is the Admin Control panel? Last reply on June 27, 2008 21:16.

I can't find the admin page to add/edit employee status on Get Satisfaction, where does Get Satisfaction hide it?

I need to add an employee at my company to our list of official reps, but can't find the control panel where I can search for names and configure their permissions. I am an admin.

Pointless Question: Pointless Spinner? Last reply on June 27, 2008 20:39.

Is there a better way to add companies than + Last reply on June 27, 2008 16:41.

Maybe it was pre coffee but it took 5 minutes for me to figure out to click the green + button even though yesterday I knew that was how I add a company.

While I know + is good for localization an "add" would be useful for new users and daft people like me! :)

Improve product/service selection interface when posting Last reply on June 27, 2008 05:43.

I've been checking out the service today and I think you've done an amazing job with Get Satisfaction. The interface is fantastic, there was just one little area that threw me for a loop as a new user: product/service selection for a new topic.

When I saw the big icon for the default product my first thought was that I was supposed to click on it to select it, but this in fact removes the product. What's worse, I couldn't find any way to get it back other than to remember the name and type it into the "Find products" field.

Now, I have absolutely no design skills but I did have a couple thoughts on how this might have made more sense to me on the first go:

    - Differentiate the remove mouseover with a red X or something else that clearly separates remove from add. I think part of the reason I was confused was that the blue arrow implied some kind of positive action, like it was going to put the clicked on product name into the text box since the arrow points to the text box when there is only one product available.

    - Display all products as equal-sized icons that the user can multiply select. If a "does not apply to any product" option makes sense, have this clearly called out. This has the added benefit of showing the product name under each icon so the user doesn't have to mouse over an unfamiliar icon in the "suggested products" list. In addition this would allow removing the empty boxes in the UI, which seem like the user or company is supposed to do something to fill them in.

    - If a "does not apply to any product" option doesn't make sense and a company has only one product, don't even present a product selection interface.

    - The text "suggested products" seems to indicate something context-sensitive to the user's question/idea/problem, but really this is just a list of all available products. Perhaps consider changing this to "other products" or "available products" or something similar.

If none of that makes any sense, then when the default product is removed it might be a good idea to at least have it appear in the "suggested products" list, showing the list if necessary. This way users can easily undo the remove action.

Make someone a "community leader" Last reply on June 24, 2008 18:21.

How do I make a non-employee of my company a "community leader"? I want to take a few of our active community participants and grant them special status as "ommunity leaders". They are answering tons of questions and have volunteered to respond to requests from our users.

Will you please add product ID to API search results? Last reply on June 26, 2008 23:24.

Earlier I posted a question about limiting the Help Center to just a subset of products (see here), and you guys told me that's not possible yet.

We've managed, however, to hack a version together which limits our help center to just one product. The only problem that remains is the search functionality. There's no way to filter search results by product.

If you guys would please add the Product ID as one of the parameters of the search results that your API produces, it would be hugely helpful to us.

Adding Community Reps Last reply on June 26, 2008 17:15.

This would allow the Company to choose from the helpful users to make a list of the ones that help out the most and put it under "All Employees" or "Official Reps".

Auto-forward complaints to companies that are not participating with getsatisfaction.com Last reply on June 26, 2008 03:40.

introduce a feature that forwards getsatisfaction postings to the contact mailing address of companies where it says "official company links," put another slot where users can post the contact address of the company. getsatisfaction can then send postings directly to that address

this is for companies that aren't aware of getsatisfaction.com or are ignoring it

    thanks

Where's the full API specification? I'm missing something, I know... Last reply on June 26, 2008 04:58.

Is the full API published somewhere for development against? I tried downloading "Satisfaction.php", but it requires some externals files that aren't referenced in the documentation and is just a list of poorly (read: not) namespaced functions.

I'd prefer to use an OOP approach to API interaction, perhaps something that would fit in the Zend Framework paradigm, which may mean that I need to develop that myself. There aren't any current proposals, that I can find. So in order to do so, I'd need a full API specification. Does a formal one exist?
