Official Company Reps: You can set the status on topics Last reply on May 13, 2008 10:46.
You can now set the status on different topic types so your customers can see at a glance that you're listening and responding. Here's some Skitchin' to illustrate:
For Questions

You get this:
For Ideas

No status to set for Discussions because, well, they're just discussions. -

Can I control the message that my company shows to users in the sidebar callout box? Last reply on May 13, 2008 06:48.
I don't always want to show the last employee-started topic in the dashed box in the sidebar. Is it possible to make a certain topic sticky in that box.
Here's my use case:
1. Flickr is having some troubles tonight, so I posted an advisory notice on GS.
2. Then, I decided to write up some FAQs as Idea posts.
3. The callout box now shows the last FAQ I wrote, rather than the most relevant advisory notice. -

Services as well as products Last reply on May 13, 2008 06:05.
I added 'Southeastern Trains' recently, but when I go to add a problem I have with the service, it asks me what 'product' I want to report it on. My local train company don't really offer a product - but a service. It would be helpful if the UI reflected the fact that not all companies make products, some offer services - some only offer one service (like trains).
I can cope with cognitively mapping 'product' to 'service', but others may find it more difficult. -

How do we inform users about the notification process? Last reply on May 13, 2008 04:02.
(Posting on behalf of Otir, a new user...)
Otir just posted a new question to the Seesmic forum, but was not sure if/how/when she would know that her question had been answered. I let her know that she'll receive a notification from GetSatisfaction, and *then* her new question was where the notification would go to.
I let her know what the default was, and that assuming she had not changed the default, she would get a notice in her email box with comments/answers to her post. So the lingering question is: What's the best way to let users how notifications work? Maybe in the popup box that comes after submitting a new topic? Tell them when/where to look? -

Allow pre-publication moderation (and implicitly, private threads) Last reply on May 12, 2008 22:39.
Is there a way to moderate questions before they become public? There should be!
We are somewhat concerned that users may post personal information inadvertently. Allowing us to keep questions private or choose to release a thread publicly will solve our biggest (only?) problem with Get Satisfaction. - 5 Replies 3 Followers
