Where's the "Hello, we're Get Satisfaction"? Last reply on June 23, 2008 18:52.
I think it would be wonderful to have a better, more multimedia-oriented introduction to using Get Satisfaction for people who aren't necessarily tech savvy. I'd like my organization (ONE/Northwest, http://www.onenw.org/) to transition to GS so that our community can answer each other's questions, instead of having every single one run though a support ticket, but they generally aren't Millenials. If, when logging in for the first time, a 2 minute video on how to use GS showed up, I think that would be a good way to make sure it's visible and usable.
The intro video for Skitch (http://skitch.com/) is a good example for this.

companies' information on homepage Last reply on June 23, 2008 21:21.
my idea was to add a "tagline" for each company so that people who don't know the company can get a basic idea what it is/does.*
the tagline can be displayed on the company page, but even better would be on the homepage where all recent updates are displayed.
perhaps to avoid overloading the homepage with too much text you could make it visible with a mouseover function (like over the logo, or over the name, or over a little i-button, ...)
* at the moment you need to select the company name, right click, search on google, go to their site, and find the information on that site.. waaay too much work. :) -

Hi there, I'm Cameron. I'm a developer here at Satisfaction, and I'm here to code (and to talk with you). Last reply on September 13, 2007 22:30.
I've been working closely with Scott and Ted, writing the code that makes Satisfaction hum since the very beginning.
It's been a fun ride so far and I think it's just going to get better. I really believe in our product and what we're trying to do by bringing customer service out into the open, helping companies be transparent for their customers, and most of all creating a central place to go with a customer service issue.
If you notice bugs, have ideas for how we can improve our service or our website, or you're just friendly and like to chat (about anything, not just geeky stuff), please drop me a line at cameron [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com. -

I'm Lane, President and co-founder of Satisfaction, and I'm here to help. Last reply on September 12, 2007 20:58.
As to what "President" usually means, well, your guess is as good as mine, but here at Satisfaction I'm the person in charge of product design and development, and I also do a lot of our business development and marketing work. I'm also the best @ hand-waving (although Thor certainly gives me a run for my money on that one.)
Previously, I was one of the co-founders of Adaptive Path, a user experience strategy, research, and design consultancy, known for, among other things, coining the technology terms "blog" and "ajax." I wore a bunch of hats there, too -- I ran the consulting business and was involved in the early stages of Measure Map, a web application headed up by my good friend and business partner Jeff Veen that was sold to Google in 2006.
So, as you can see, I like making stuff. To that end, I'm very interested to hear what you think about Satisfaction! We have big plans, of course, and so much more we want to do and build, but the more input we get from the people who use and love (or use and hate) the service, the better we'll be at delivering the application that you want.
It's all about the good customer service, after all. Looking forward to hearing from you here on Satisfaction! -

My name is Scott. They call me the Lead Dev. I call them optimistic. Last reply on September 12, 2007 19:37.
So, I'm supposed to introduce myself; I'm Scott Fleckenstein. I've helped write nearly every line of code for Satisfaction, along with my partners-in-crime Cam and Ted. When I'm not writing code for SFN I'm... who am I kidding, all I do is write code for SFN.
It seems like my coworkers are all talking about what they've done in their professional histories, I'm going to switch it up and talk about what I want to do in the future. I would like to make a bigger contribution to the open source effort. I'd like to create a game. I'd like to make Satisfaction into something I can't live without.
If you're having any problems viewing or navigating the site don't hesitate to report it here in satisfaction or email Ted directly at ted [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com. He enjoys that kind of thing.
