Is there a site-wide search feature on getsatisfaction.com? Last reply on April 30, 2008 21:51.

    Is there a getsatisfaction.com site-wide search feature?
It could be very helpful for finding problems or questions that people have already encountered without depending on a product or a company name

Improve searching by using smashed titles, multiple fields Last reply on April 14, 2008 18:59.

It would be great if the search function were looser with search tems. Searching for "getsatisfaction" yields zero results. This should really be handled by a search indexer, which could smash titles and such.

Search doesn't work like I expect it to Last reply on March 18, 2008 23:34.

Why does the search give results outside of the company i am searching for? When I am in the Market7 company satisfaction site and I search for a word like 'script', I don't want every question with that tag in the ENTIRE satisfaction site. If this is the case, I will have no way to search questions for the company in which I am interested.

I sent Eric a jpeg showing my experience. I cannot attach any files here so you will have to ask him or ask me for it.

How can I search existing questions for a company? Last reply on March 14, 2008 01:27.

Where can I search within existing questions and comments? If someone else has already asked O'Reily the same thing I'm about to, I'd rather just find it. Since they have a few hundred active questions, I'm not going to browse for it...

Newbie: UI for general searching was unobvious to me Last reply on March 12, 2008 07:09.

It has taken me more than 5 minutes to work out how to use the search functionality - something that should be immediately obvious... I knew the feature *must* exist but I had trouble with it. I am sure many other newbie users would have the same problem - is "searching for a relevant post" part of your usability testing (with fresh newbies!)?

Also the go button doesn't seem to work: For example, I select 'Topic', type in 'other' (any keyword which has results), and click "go" (or press return) too quickly and *nothing* happens... Why doesn't it take you to the "See all search results" page (which is great - once I found it!). I just quickly typed in something and clicked Go before the dropdown even showed! Broadband user (in NZ - 250ms ping) using FF2.

    Looks great!
