I don't know, if this idea has already come up, but as I read here about a widget-issue, Adobe Air did immediately come to my mind!
I'd really like a simple Adobe Air widget including these for steps for direct posting to GetSatisfaction without having to visit the site and search through the navigation menus. ;P
We'd like to use a Satisfaction widget on our site but we're running over HTTPS, so using your standard widget isn't possible without producing a security error in the browser.
Is there any way we can include the widget over HTTPS?
I've started looking into the Getsatisfaction API and before I really have one of our programmers dive into it, I was hoping to get confirmation on whether I can do what I want to do with it.
Basically, I want Getsatisfaction.com to host all the questions and discussions regarding my company. But I would like them to be able to have access to all of Getsatisfaction's functionality from WITHIN my company's website. Can the API be used to do this? I've seen the buttons for "Put a topic widget on your website," but I want people to be able to actually participate in the discussions (post new topics, replies, and sign up) from within my website as opposed to just reading them.
It seems like the codes for topic widgets are inverted; css genius one is beside drop it on my blog (the drop it in one comes with some css i'm assuming?)
I was going to add two topic widgets on the same page but noticed your js populates it based on the id of the div in the widget code you supply. this doesn't seem very robust, wouldn't it make more sense to pass the id as a parameter on the topics.widget call, which is then passed to the callback method so that it can load a specific div?
I'm trying to create a widget for my blog and it seems to be getting hung up. On the preview, no topics are displayed and I just see "Loading..." Not sure if it matters but the widget that I'm building is for Twitter and the content is based on a Tag. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.13 on Windows XP.

Meebo just launched a distributed chat widget. It would be cool to make chat rooms to talk about Satisfaction topics, especially those that are developing quickly. I'll try embedding one below.
I just added the widget to my site MyHomie.com, and I think it's great, but I'd prefer that links to Satisfaction's site be loaded in a new browser window so my users don't lose their spot on my site.
Hi folks; trying to get the basic widget to display on my site' s (http://rosenfeldmedia.com) main page (managed via Movable Type). It does show up when I preview my page in MT, but not on the live site. Problem persists in both Firefox and Safari, so it doesn't seem to be a browser issue. Any ideas?
We've embedded the search widget into the iwantsandy.com site and no matter what I search for, nothing shows. If I search for "Sandy", I get just one post -- and it is a couple-three days old.
I just tried again on GS site to build a new version of the search widget and found the same results, so there's nothing we've done in embedding it that was causing trouble.
Ooooh, just stumbled onto the widget in my admin screen. COOL!
Right now we have a little block in RescueTime that has a form field which sends our team an email.
I'd LOVE to replace this with a list of recent topics, but I'm loathe to lose the easy form field where people can give us super-easy feedback without leaving the app.
Regardless, the widget is darn cool. But here's what i'd like to see in a widget:
1. recent stuff, filterable as you have it.
2. Form field for 1-click submission (could be a multi-step process without leaving the widget... I'd hate to lose the "related topics" step).
3. Subsequent link to their topic and link to our GS site.
4. A bit of design control would be nice. ;-)
This could rock for you guys-- especially if the form had an email field (where you could upsell to full accounts, notify of new posts, etc).
Regardless, I'll be installing the widget (on our blog and in our app).
I need to stop thinking about your product and get back to working on mine! ;-)
