Why yes, you can. We love having you around but we don't want to hold you captive against your will. Just click on "Your Account" in the top bar. On the Account Details page there's a Close your account section. Fill in your password and click the "Close Account" button. Easy as pie.

Problem- I opened an account under nowtie, psoted a load of threads but then closed my account & now cannot access them or my profile which is still live on the site as nowtie. I have now set up another account as nowtie5- can you please close down everything to do with nowtie & my old posts?

As of now the only thing that happens when a user closes an account is that they can no longer log in to it. However, we are going to implement a new feature that will also clear the user dashboard with a message saying the user has closed their account.
We do not delete the users topics and replies, though. Because those posts are part of public conversations that involve other users as a general rule we don't allow for the deletion or editing of them except under very specific circumstances.

Inappropriate?That's a pretty nasty privacy glitch there - I didn't realize my name would be irretrievably displayed on a topic just by following it. You should make your "what happens at Get Satisfaction stays publicly displayed forever at Get Satisfaction" policy a little more obvious before allowing people to fall into this trap. There's personal information in that account that I supposedly "closed" that is now permanently on display to the curious, and I have no way of removing it.

Inappropriate?hi every one, i'm dorris or kathy, just started, i'v read some e-mail's above, and i must say i'm not happy giving out my details to people when it comes to account's, you have to be so carefull ,incase your info get's in the wronge hand's, is any one intreasted in Aloe vera, products, they all have a 60 day money back, and i'm sure once you'v tryed it you will be back for more,best wishes, kathy
