Company not alterable when starting a topic, why?
Hi there,
it is a problem for me personally, that I can't change the company, when I'm starting a topic! I think that's stupid. Maybe I'm on the site of "Seesmic", but I want to write a question / idea to "Adobe" or "Newsgator", why can't I change the company to another one I did add to my dashboard?
I might have overseen another point again, but I'm happy to learn! :)

Inappropriate? As it stands now, topics are attached and fall under companies, but we will eventually change that so that topics can live more independently -- and even be attached to more than one company.
As we've designed it, we expect that most people -- not you, I admit, but most people -- will be coming to Get Satisfaction to participate and get help from one company at a time. However, we do recognize that some topics may deal with multiple products from different companies -- or the person starting the topic may not even know who to contact to fix their problem (e.g., is a problem with an iPhone a problem for AT&T or Apple?).
When we get to that point and redesign our topic submission page, perhaps we can make it easier to simply switch or add company associations to a topic. I'm not entirely sure that it will ever be quite the way you envision it, but it's possible. We'll definitely keep this in mind. Thanks for sharing.

Inappropriate?Hi Eric,
thanks for your answer. :) Of course I'm not the average user. ;)
I just basically envisioned a simple change in the company if I accidentally would be on the wrong site or because I did write to another company before.
Your suggestions concerning a multiple company, multiple products solution is really interesting! Although I don't know how you will implement this. But as it seems, you'll come up with a good solution! :)
PS: I'm wondering about the sentence "The company believes this isn't a problem."! :P Is this just because I didn't add it in the "idea" section but in the "problem" section? So I'd like to change it to an "idea". ;)
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Sorry if I misunderstood your intent. I'll suggest this change to our developers.
And I will change this problem to an idea.
