Grammar in new contact notification emails is incorrect.
The subject lines for new contact notifications have funny grammar. For example, today I received an email with the subject "You got 1 new contacts today." The "You got" sound funny on its own, and "contacts" should be singular (especially since 1 is probably the most common number of new contacts.
It also seems a little strange that I got contacts without taking any action. Should the be "contact requests" or "followers"?
Finally, it's my humble opinion that these messages should go out less often by default, maybe every week or so.
Great work on the contacts system -- these are minor issues and overall it's working quite well.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the feedback, Jonathan. We'll take a look at the grammar and frequency.
Yeah, followers might be more accurate. We're having a lot of discussion over here about this as the model is a bit different than typical social networking sites. It's not necessarily a reciprocal thing. People add a contact because they generally like what that person has to say in the system and so want to keep track of their posts. So the request idea doesn't really fit - but you're right that it's really more of a follower than a contact. Good food for thought.
I’m glad for feedback on this
