I just solved my own problem... but I cannot mark my own comment which solves it with "This solves the problem"!?

I have this problem, too!

Inappropriate?Helge: You are correct. You can't solve your own problem and set yourself as the person who has solved it.
This is a bit of an odd duck in our system, and there's really only one reason you can't mark your own content as answering the question: We don't want people to game the system.
Well, actually, that was our thinking when we designed this, but your problem sparked a new discussion about it in our office. I think that we may need to revisit the way this works. I think we can make this a lot richer and still make it so people can't game the system. In some ways, your opinion is the most important, right? If you ask a question and then answer it before anyone can help you, why shouldn't you be able to mark it as answered. We could even say "Helge answered her own problem". Right?
Thanks very much for bringing this up. We're planning on improving the topic page with a redesign and some new functionality, and I think we should slot this in as a change to make while we're updating the page.
I’m hearing you

Inappropriate?drain: You're not alone, then! This has coincidentally happened a few times in just the last week or so. Definitely makes me think we should find a way to incorporate this.

Inappropriate? This is pretty much what I was asking in my previous question. It's quite often that I find the answer to my question/problems before someone official sees it.
Of course, at this point it does not make much difference if a topic is marked as solved or not as there is no way for people to filter them out (or is there?) -
That's a point we should consider too! The filtering, regardless of filtering it out or just wanting to surf through the solved problems for whatever reason!
