Inappropriate?the post worked on the second attempt.

Inappropriate?I notice in that topic that you have the last reply. Did it post the reply successfully even though it presented the error to you, or did you try again and it worked?
-
Inappropriate?I see where the error is at, It was pretty easy to fix. I'll make the deploy tonight to fix it in our live environment.
Thanks for the catch, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Inappropriate?I'm not seeing any entries in our error logs, what topic where you trying to respond to?
-
Inappropriate?Hi Scott,
I was replying to this question: http://getsatisfaction.com/nintendo/t...
I received the error message every time I tried to post my response and finally opened a new browser and pasted my answer.
-K -
Inappropriate? Thanks Krissy. If it worked after you pasted the reply into another browser, it most likely means that my code got itself mixed and into an invalid state on your page, and so the javascript that posts the reply was failing.
I'll search through the logs again; having the url will help me track down things. -
Inappropriate?Crappy website doesn't work on Mac & Safari.
Waste of time
I’m fed up with lazy programmers
-
Inappropriate?I'm sorry you're having problems. I am a devoted Safari user and don't have any problems, but perhaps it's a different kind of error. Please let me know what's wrong, and we will absolutely do our best to fix it!
I’m sorry you're having problems

Inappropriate?I am using Safari 3.0.4 with OSX 10.4.11 on a dual G4. Is your machine a G4 ?
I tried to post a topic on "US Government" several times but cannot without receiving the stupid error message. -
Inappropriate?I think I know the problem. The company "U.S. Government" is awaiting approval. It's a spam measure we have to make sure companies are actual companies. That said, the U.S. Government isn't a company in the strict sense of the word. I'm going to confer with everyone here at Get Satisfaction and see if we can make it a "company."
-
Inappropriate?Well, then the error message should say "Company awaiting approval", not "Invalid Record:...
And there was no notice of any required approval when it was created, either. (There should be a popup message to be sure that the users sees this condition) -
Inappropriate?Eric was mistaken...
There was an error in our database that was causing the problem, which I have now rectified. It had nothing to do with you being on a Mac and using Safari.
Oh, and angry citizen, I don't appreciate being called lazy. I can be called a lot of things, but lazy sure as hell aint one of them. -
Inappropriate?Sorry. I'm just so tired of "mystery" error messages.
I've been a programmer for almost 40 years now, and have NEVER written any code that produced any mystery errors. Granted, Windoze has produced mystery errors outside of my control, but not through any faulty or incomplete code on my part...
I suggest that when any error is shown, you have a button to copy the error, the web page, and an image of the page to your faults department, if the user so chooses.
That will save you time, and the users (x1000) time as well. (It's what Safari offers, "File > Report Bugs to Apple..." as you know)
Cheers
William
