Pierre,
We've tuned our topic search is such a way that it works best with a relatively small number of topics. In most cases, it works great within the boundaries of a company, but when applied to searching the entire site it tends to give poor results.
This is something that we will be working on as the site grows, but in the current state of things a site-wide search would be very frustrating to use.
I've had luck with using google to search the site in the past. Just add site:getsatisfaction.com to a google search and it will only return results from satisfaction.
I would look to see this feature implemented within satisfaction proper as we get better knowledge about implementing and tuning search engines.
I’m confident it will get better
