Lost Company After Changing Primary Email
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Hey Olly,
I can explain the issue with admins losing their access when changing their email address.
A confirmed email address is, right now, the only thing we check to determine if a user belongs to a certain company. If that user changes their company email address, we have to then confirm that new address before that person can again have access to the admin area.
We have given admins a way do this: if another employee wants to change their email address, you can help them regain their access right away after the change by visiting the admin panel and using the tool to enable the new email address for admin or employee access.
I’m hoping this eases your frustration

Inappropriate?Ooh, this looks like a bug. I'm alerting the dev team. In the meantime, if you tell me the company you need to be associated with I can make that happen.
I’m sorry
-
Inappropriate? That's ok - bugs happen; another rep of the company re-added me so that part is fixed. Unfortunately I have 2 more to report: the link to your reply that I got from the RSS feed (http://getsatisfaction.com/satisfacti...) results in a 404 page, and while I was typing this reply the page refreshed on its own and I lost what I was writing.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Whoa. That's not good. It could be that we were in the midst of a deploy as you were interacting with the site, but I'm not sure. We'll look into right away. Thanks for the head's up.
I’m sorry things were wonky

Inappropriate?Todd,
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Regarding your first issue, I'll forward it along to our other dev Cameron, he's more familiar with that section of the code and should be able to solve it quicker.
Regarding the RSS feed, I've just now fixed that bug. Look for it to get deployed within a day or two.
Regarding your refresh bug, I'm confused. There is only two pieces of code that change the browser location or refresh the page. 1) posting a new topic, and 2) editing a product. If it wasn't one of those 2 things my intuition is telling me that you might have accidentily clicked refresh or pressed ctrl-R. I'll keep an eye out for other people that experience this, and if you experience it any more, please post back here. -
Inappropriate? Thanks Scott! It's totally possible the errors was in my keyboarding fingers. Cheers on the quick action with the RSS link.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Hi guys,
This is still happening. I changed my primary email and I was removed from the company!
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Hmmm. Let me get our developers on the horn, and I'll see what is up. Thanks for your patience.
-
Inappropriate?Olly: You're listed as an admin for your company, correct?
-
Inappropriate?Eric -- correctomundo!

Inappropriate?So, it is fixed?
-
Inappropriate?I have no idea. I managed to get my account back up and running (we have several administrators) and haven't tried changing my email address since -- I have no need to.
-
Inappropriate? Thanks. I think I know what this bug is all about, and I appreciate your time. Very helpful.

Inappropriate? This problem is still happening. An admin changes their email address and they are no longer part of the company!
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Let me take a look and get back to you. Sorry you're having this problem!

I have our developers taking a look this morning. We'll try to get it figured out quickly. -
