There is a bug in the relative time shown for a topic in the topic list for a company
I reported a problem for Get Satisfaction a few minutes ago, but it's showing that I reported it 5 hours ago in the "Recently active topics" view.

Inappropriate? As soon as I posted this item, it too showed up as being posted 5 hours ago and my previous item then showed an exact date and time (which was about 1 hour out compared to my local (UK) time.)
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate? This is getting interesting (or perhaps tedious): As soon as I posted a followup (my previous entry) to this thread then correctly showed that I'd reported it about 11 minutes ago.
There's some seriously strange stuff going on here!
I’m amused

Inappropriate?Shoot! That code was a little twitchy with time zones. I'll explain how it works before we work through the problem.
Basically, those relative timestamps are driven from javascript, derived from an absolute time (September 13, 11AM for example). Using Javascript we calculate the distance of that date to now.
This lets us cache html content that has timestamps in it, making the site a lot faster that it normally would be.
I'll run through every timezone on my machine and fix things over then next few days so that this gets fixed.
I’m thankful
