Where are my peeps under Contacts?
I have recently received emails about people who have added me as a contact on get satisfaction. When I visited my Contacts page, I expected to see the people who added me under the Contacts tab. Does it not work this way?
p.s. love you guys! xoxo

Inappropriate? The people on your dashboard are people you've added to your list of contacts. We have tried to design a very lightweight system that is perhaps not quite like a typical "friending" system. So, less emphasis on collecting friends, and hopefully more emphasis on establishing a lightweight connection with someone you might want to follow as, say, an expert on a particular product or service. For example, the user Alex on Get Satisfaction has an amazing depth of knowledge about Apple products, and I want to add him as a contact because I know I'll want to keep tabs on his great advice.
So, you can't see everyone else's contacts from their dashboard, but we do want to notify you when people add you to their list. We do this via e-mail whenever someone adds you, and if you want to add them back you can. But, it's not a mutual friending system that makes this happen automatically.
Let us know what you think about it. We're always open to feedback!
I’m hoping this makes sense!

It does make sense :) -
Inappropriate? Most of it makes sense, such as the experience not emphasizing mutual connections.
What doesn't make sense to me is not seeing the people that have added me as a contact. The only place I can see that is if I pull up the email notification.
My scenario: I received an email a few weeks ago about people who added me as a contact. I didn't pay much attention, and may have even deleted the email. I received a new email today with another contact notification. Great! Now what? I go to the site because now i'm ready to see what these contacts are all about, and poof, nowhere to be found. I guess i don't see the point in telling me people have added/followed me if I can't retrieve that information later.
golly gee whiz, you guys are good listeners, and good sports.
I’m unsure

yeah, that's a good point. you should be able to see who added you on the site. we'll discuss. thanks, kim! -
Well, the way I see it the more you get notifications that someone added you to their contacts the more you know you're being popular. People add you because you're helpful, right? So, what's the point having THEM in your contacts in return since you probably don't even know these people? It's not like you're going to send them emails with "thanks for having me in your contacts" from time to time :]
