We're opening a REST-based API shortly through which you can pull exactly that content for use on your site. It will provide most of the functionality available on this site so the sky's the limit on what you could do with it.

Inappropriate?ezuk, you can also email me (scott@getsatisfaction.com) If you are interested in learning about the API and its technical aspects.
If you could describe what you have in mind, I can probably tell you how you could bend the API to your will.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Hi guys!
Thanks for your care on this. I've forwarded this thread to my webadmin guys who originally voiced this concern. I'll see if they want to do something about it now.
I’m excited about life!

Inappropriate? What all does this do? Could I, for example, take some other open source trouble ticketing system, and have it integrate with GSFN wherein new posts on GSFN appear to be tickets (but have a note that they are public), and perhaps using oauth get the user to take sensitive information 'private' and verify they're the user due to oauth?
Interesting concepts, heh. -
personally i'd love to see somebody do that. it's entirely doable. even better if you share the code back with everybody else! -
Inappropriate? We don't currently have any systems in place for recording private data on a per-topic basis.
You could, however, fake it by keeping the private data in your own database and then only pushing public data back into GSFN.
Other than that, your idea is entirely doable. -
That was what I meant, a way to merge public and private together and also tell the user hello we would like to take it private, use oauth from getsatisfaction to verify you're the one who posted the complaint and then we'll continue it from there
