Search results do not reset once you clear the search box.
Search for something, "foo".
All the foo results appear.
Click back in the search box and click the "clear" icon.
Click cancel
Expected behavior: you see all topics, since you now have an empty search.
Actual behavior: you see "no results" because it appears that "cancel" clears the results list, but since there's no "text changed" event, the search is not re-executed with no query. Expect that "clear" button would not only clear the search field, but recall the default, all topics list.
