Mobile App Key issue.

I'm trying to use The BlackPing application on my Blackberry Bold 9000 (v4.6.0.167) with AT&T as the provider. When I input my mobile app key, hit the back button and click save. It tells me "your mobile application key is being sent to ping.fm for validation" and after about a minute it comes back with an exclamation point (!) and OK. It never works.
