I have an iPhone that has "iPhone purchased" songs on it and I need to get them off to back them up. I've tried using the "Recently Played" or "Purchased" playlists but, my most recent songs (1 Album and maybe 10 individual songs) don't show up in PodWorks. Is there something I'm missing? I've even played all the songs again from the phone to be sure they were the "most recently played" items, still no joy. Please help. I don't want to have to buy them again :(
If your wondering, I screwed up the iTunes library I was syncing to, BEFORE, I backed up my iPhone. I'm an idiot!
Surely others have gotten this problem.
The old...
Song file is missing from iPod and will be skipped:/Volumes/(name)'s iPod/iPod_Control/Music/F47/IOAW.m4a
[what's after the F is different for each song]
That's what I see when I try to copy a single song from Podworks to iTunes.
When I try a different way, I get a bigger dialog box with "The following are iTunes errors Podworks encountered while tranferring files. It is possible that the problems encountered were temporary. Check items below and click "Re-Transfer Selected" if you would like to try transferring them again. Then, under the song name is "-1700: iTunes got an error: Can't make some data into the expected type.
Computer: MacBook
OSX 10.5.2
Downloaded Podworks 3/4/08
iPod classic 20mb, in disk mode
Podworks worked for this same iPod and my previous hard drive, but then that hard drive died and had to be replaced.

can I import my lyrics from iTunes into my iPod (4th Gen Color Photo Click)? Transfered music and clicked the wheel 4 times but nothing past the ratings. Wish I could see the lyrics but maybe my iPod too old? Any help?
I am writing to you for help regarding my Ipod. I have th Ipod Video 30GB and have have it for nearly two years now from new. I have never had any problems with the Ipod and has been one of the best buys I have ever had. Music means alot to me and I had over 3,500 songs on my Ipod but today I seem to have lost every single one of them songs. Also not long ago my hard drive on my laptop was damaged and caused me to lose everything on the hard drive including 3,000 odd songs although at the time it was not a problem as I still had the songs on my Ipod its self, since then I have a new hard drive but onlyhave around 500 songs saved. All I have on my Ipod Music section on Itunes is a blank list where 3,500 my songs once where and a message at the top saying Ipod sync is complete. Is there anyway I can retreive these songs back again?
Regards, Jamie Lawson
I am getting "attempting to copy to the disk "Macintosh HD" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to". In a new pop up window. I click "OK" and podworks continues, but nothing is being transferred to itunes. About half of my music has been transferred from the ipod to the mac. (when given the opportunity to retry the music that did not go, I get the same thing....activity from podworks, but no music actually being transferred to itunes).
My hard drive crashed and I had to have a new one installed. Can I transfer address book data from my iPod to my PowerBook G4 with PodWorks? Michael James of initgraf software referred me to you.
I was able to transfer all my songs to iTunes with the registered 2.9.3 version of podworks. However, after choosing the option "recreate selected playlist in iTunes", only one playlist was copied correctly although I tried to do them each individually. I keep getting the "Transfer Errors" message which lists every single song in the playlist. Even when I hit "Re-transfer" it still doesn't work. I am not happy. Please help!
Hi, does anyone knows if the last version of Podworks is still working with iTunes 8.0. I am hesitating to install it before I know if I can get my songs back on my computer if needed. Thanks,
Cheers
PodWorks 2.93 (trial) isn't detecting duplicates for me. I have voice memos on my Nano with a title like "4/7/08 12:00PM" and PW transfers them into iTunes fine. But, if I do another "Selected to iTunes" the Nano copy of the file overwrites any changes I've made to the copy in iTunes. Is this a problem with the PodWorks or just the trial version?
