Is transferring purchased music from ipod to itunes the same thing?
itunes asked me if I wanted to transfer my authorized purchases into itunes...is that the same as podworks? I pushed yes and then it seemed like they were both working at the same time. I got a lot of duplicates. Did I do something wrong?

Inappropriate?hi,i don't think so.As far as i am concerned,iTunes do not let iPod's content transferred to itself for the pirate-proof intention by Apple. And if you want to save a MP3 formated as a backup safety consideration, you might need the three party program. Actually there are large number of program with the similiar function. But i'll give a recommendation since i am here.and i think it is necessary for an ipod user to have one in case that your computer crash or your iTunes reinstalled. it is Aniosoft ibackup-It enables you to transfer iPod's music and other content to any storage device and iTunes as well. And both the backup in the storage device can be recovered and restored with no any change and no any risk. And the data in the iTunes is quite in accord with the iPod's data including its playlists, rating and etc.
There is a note that needs your attention, you have to turn off the auto sync of the iTunes before you can make this transfer.
for your convenience,i'll add the links here:
