does scoutlabs support alerts filtered by source?
Hi, can I filter the alerts I get by source? For example, can I set up an alert that sends me only blog posts or only microblog posts?
thanks!

Inappropriate? Not currently. However, we would love to allow users the ability to customize alerts to meet their specific needs. This is a great idea, and one that will go straight to the product team - into our product road map, I'm sure.
My only question is, how many posts would you like to see in an alert? What if your search produced hundreds of posts per day. Would it be useful for you to receive them all? Or would you prefer to receive only the top 10 most relevant, most linked to or most commented posts, for example?
It is helpful to know specifics like this ;)
Thanks!
Julie

Inappropriate?Hi Julie,
Thank you for responding.
We are not particularly interested in reading posts within e-mail since we cannot take trackable action from there. I do like the summaries. It would be useful to have these summaries for each source (or custom grouping, e.g. I might be 6 blogs plus all Twitters and Youtube together--maybe a future feature?), then simply a link to go look at this stuff within the SL interface.
thanks,
regina

Inappropriate?Hi Regina,
Thanks for the example! We'll definitely consider that as soon as we can clearly categorize the different type of contents. Good feedback!
I’m thankful
