Timezone incorrect in Wordpress crosspost
I'm using a Twitter login and attempting to crosspost to Wordpress - when I do that, the time for each entry is one hour later than the actual time. When I looked at the code in Wordpress, I saw that the timezone was -4 when it should be -5. Is this something you guys can fix? To be clear, the time shows up correctly in ScribbleLive and if I manually generate the code but NOT when I attempt to use it to crosspost to Wordpress.
Some reference - here's the html from the crosspost:
Note the first entry where I state it's 1:09am but the output shows 2:09am. Note also that the ScribbleLive Timezone is -4 when it should be -5.
Thank you.
Some reference - here's the html from the crosspost:
- 2:09 AM gwong - it is 1.09am right now.
- 1:54 AM gwong - hmmm
- 3:36 PM gwong - another update
- 3:33 PM gwong - testing scribblelive
Note the first entry where I state it's 1:09am but the output shows 2:09am. Note also that the ScribbleLive Timezone is -4 when it should be -5.
Thank you.

Inappropriate?Unfortunately Wordpress doesn't auto-correct for daylight savings time; that still has to be done manually (even in WP2.7). Can you please check what time your blog is set to?
You can also change that -4 to -5 in the HTML and it will shift all the times the next time you post. -
Inappropriate? So i changed -4 to -5 in my post in Wordpress and that seems to have done the trick. I also checked my Wordpress settings and the timezone is set to UTC -5 - yeah that lack of non-auto DST sucks.
Does Scribblelive generate the timezone information from my Wordpress settings or is that passed from Scribblelive? It's not the worst thing in the world if I have to change it every time I create a new live event but it would be nice to know if there's anything else that can be done either by you guys or on my end.
Thanks again! -
Inappropriate?Glad it's working now!
We get/guess the timezone by creating the post, then reading back the time from Wordpress. But since Wordpress continues to have this issue, I think I may just change it to be part of the configuration when you set-up crossposting. I think that would work better, eh? -
Inappropriate?Yes, I think having that option in the configuration would work much better until Wordpress fixes it on their end.
