Am I the only one who is unsure about the UI?
FIrst, thanks for trying to make the overload of information manageable - but bearing in mind you can't please everybody...and I am not complaining, just wondering...
I am not sure how 'scalable' the whole scan down the page and then go to the next page UI is when I want to catch up on what is happening with my friends - I don't follow many at the moment though. If I only visit daily, there is a good chance that any friends I may or may not possess will have the conversation swamped by other, possibly irrelevant, content. Irrelevant at least in terms of what I am currently interested in doing.
I know this is preference, but I wonder if a UI focused on what I am interested in (conversation right now, maybe pics later, and then after that I'll go for interesting links) rather than an un-filtered list from x subscriptions and n sources. Maybe (and I don't suggest this seriously) if I could see a tab for Links, Conversation, Content each with the number of un-read items then I could have a view of what I am interested in at a particular moment in time? Alternatively, adding a class to each entry to make it easy to turn off (and on again) particular types of content? Or grouping my prolific friend's content from a single day into one entry, instead of 12?
One question you have to ask "Could Scoble use this without information overload?". I am _guessing_ no at the moment.
Again, thanks for secondbrain - it is useful, but I think it could be more useful still :)

Inappropriate? Thanks, Ross... this is great input. We're actually working on a restructuring along the lines of what you're asking here. Basically we'll have the list approach for the library oriented functionality, but add more flexible, richer and customizable viewing options for the lifestreaming and explore sections. Thanks again, it's input like this that helps us make a better service. And I think what you pin point above actually reflects the view of many users.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Hey, that's great - thanks for the fast response. And I know it isn't going to be a high (or even medium) priority right now, but I'd like to carry my secondbrain around with me when I am away from a computer - an iPhone version would be great. The site works on Mobile Safari, but a lighter-weight cut down version would be cool :)
I’m happy and impressed

Yeah, you have no idea how much I'd like to have that ;-). Unfortunately we don't have appropriate resources to focus 100% on a killer iPhone app at the moment, but it will be the natural step for us in the future. After all our grand idea is to pull/synchronize all your content into Secondbrain, let you organize it and then push it to where ever and whatever device you'd prefer. That being embedded on your blog, a desktop app, on your iPhone or just raw feeds in general. -
*cough*API*cough* ;) -
you bet!
