Inappropriate?Yeah! We're going to add support for general RSS pretty soon, so that you can add feeds from services we don't support yet. But we'll still focus on your content and your feeds rather than being a rss-reader for other feeds. Services such as Netvibes and Google Reader is always going to be a better option for that use.

Inappropriate?I agree with Johan, if you start importing RSS content you can get really scr*** over with the UTF-8/symbols/layout/desciptions. UTF-8 was probably a bad example, but I have ran into PHP variables that I ended up (de)coding to UTF-8. -
Inappropriate?SB isn't meant to be a general RSS reader. That "feature" would be a distraction rather than an enhancement.
