Map You Tube Playlists to Secondbrain Collections
Currently You Tube Favorites (assembled into playlists) are pulled into SB as individual entries, which then need to be assembled into SB collections....a lot of duplicated work.
Can we automatically create a collection from a You Tube Playlist and populate it with the playlisted entries.
Be nice to have some folder icons that relate to the content they refer to..like video or music
Not sure that every collection needs to have an avatar on the RHS of every line.
Once a lot of collections are in place then the 1|2|3.... navigation comes into play...this is one of the most tiring aspects of a UI and not RSI friendly. Something like is implemented on the wallpaper section of this site (using the scroll wheel):

Inappropriate?Yup, we're pretty much aligned on this one. Basically, the work you've already have done in terms of organization should be reflected on Secondbrain. We'll roll out two things in the next months to accommodate what you're asking here. First we'll introduce 'Service Collections' which will let you see everything you have in the specific services. Second we'll add the appropriate subsets to these - playlists for YouTube, albums on Picasa etc. We've also discussed making collections based on content type, but decided to go with service based as a start and keep the content type sorting option in the filtering.
And as you point out, when adding even more collections we need to reorganize how the collection lists are displayed. I'm not really sure what you specifically were thinking on on thwfwa.com there was no scrolling action going on when I tried it out on my mac/safari. Care to elaborate?
I’m excited too

Inappropriate?"FWA requires Macromedia Flash, version 7 "
Well on their wallpapers like at http://www.thefwa.com/?app=wallpapers... simply scrolling on the wheel (Firefox 3 on WinXP sp3) initiates the loading of another page of slides chronologically....a downward scroll moves the dates earlier..
Maybe Safari has scripts disabled or something...
Easily the best page system navigation system I've seen, a very nicely implemented site overall.
Cheers,
Chris
I’m excited about S|B

Inappropriate? Not sure if this has been covered already, but in trying to develop a tagging scheme within S|B, I discovered that YouTube Videos have tags embedded, but are not editable within S|B or indeed YouTube Favorites.
Would it be possible to have the option of stripping out the tags and adding them according to our own schemes? There's just too much Tag noise and YouTube seems to be the main offender.
On this topic, I would prefer to have the option of turning Auto Tagging OFF as default...also helps with the Tag noise.
Have you considered running polls for new feature requests, to see what should be a priority?
Cheers,
Chris
I’m drooling
