No auto-tagging for bookmarks, please. (Or an option to disable)
The auto-tagging when you bookmark directly via SecondBrain is just plain out annoying, at least with some sites. I tried posting from digi.no for instance, and then I ended up removing like 30 tags or something. I want my tag clouds to be nice'n'clean..

Inappropriate?Hi Ida!
At the moment, we are not actually auto-tagging but more looking for keywords in the page that is added. These keywords can sometimes be very relevant, but a lot of times they are simply frustrating, as they are placed there to help the pagerank and do search engine optimalisation, and not for tagging Secondbrain.
I'll talk to our johan and the developers, and see if we can come up with a smart solution to this idea!
All the best,

Inappropriate? With regards to the SEO that sounds like a good idea, but this was in no evident for me, so rather than disabling this I guess you should make it more obvious in the UI that this is because of SEO and not that my tag cloud will be all messed up.
By the way, I really hope you have greater ambitions for the tag cloud than how it looks today. No way of seeing the comlpete tagcloud, as with Delicious, and not really evident which tags this tagcloud consists of..
I’m not sure about SBs tagging possibilities.

Inappropriate?Yep...asked the same question a couple of months ago.
Essential to have a relevant Tag cloud. I always use my own tags for things I can control...usually only one tag per item that is very top level: Audio, Video, Photo etc...viewers can then get granular from there.
The BIG problem with S|B tags is the inability to change the tags that come in via API's like YouTube....this turns the tag cloud into a cloud of irrelevancy! Exactly the opposite of the concepts intention.
Ideally a 'Tag Control Panel' where we could keep a tight reign on tags and do bulk edits if needed.
To my eyes tagging is the #1 down side to S|B at this point...again quality of service versus quantity of services and features.
Designers are only just starting to wake to the fact that users of services only use a fraction of the features on offer and they want those features to rock.
Referenced from http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/...
"Effective user adoption is the absolute best predictor of enterprise software success.
You can have the best software in the world, with the most sophisticated features, analytics and integration, blah blah blah - but if people don't use it, it isn't going to add value.
I can't tell you how many RFPs and software selection processes I've been involved with in prior lives that focus almost exclusively on tiny little features that few people will ever use. This study shows that focusing so much on features is missing the boat entirely."
I’m hanging in there...just.

Inappropriate?I agree with the idea of the tag control panel and also like Idaa's idea of having a button to disable the auto tagging, however I can also also see the problems with this approach.
