Should S|B deliver Quality or Quantity =>Web Services
Some of us sign up for every service out there and unfortunately sometimes results in a lot of cross pollination/ duplication into other services. It's then pulled into an aggregator like S|B
It should be enough to delete the unwanted data from the source service and have the deletion take effect in the aggregator like S|B.
S|B is my favorite service at the moment, but the biggest disappointment for me is that it's near impossible to effectively get rid of data i don't want, because of something silly i did elsewhere.
I want S|B to be my persona on the web, but it must fully sync with the services it pulls in and reflect the changes made (in both directions preferably)!
I just hope that S|B does not fall into the trap of Quantity vs Quality of the services it pulls in.
If I want to aggregate every service under the sun, i can go to Profilatic for that.
If I want tight and timely integration with the most useful/ serious services out there, i am hoping S|B will deliver.
Please concentrate on the most solid, useful and well backed services (that will stay around for sometime) and avoid duplication of functionality with services you support.

Inappropriate? Thanks Chris, this is really valuable feedback and advice for us. The short answer is of course 'quality'. We have had a quantity focus in order to reach a level where we cover 'most of them'. Or I should probably say, the 80% of services that are 'most used'. We'll continue to add services every now and then but our focus will be on establishing solid connections utilizing APIs. With the goal of providing better functionality on e.g. synchronization and two-way integration.
I think duplicates handling will be a very important issue this fall with the uprise of several aggregators and power-publish services like ping.fm and others. The first step towards this will be to simply merge these duplicates into one and display that this is posted on 'Twitter, Facebook and FriendFeed'. Same thing with bookmarks, if it points to the same URL it should appear as one instance but reference where it is posted. The details in how we're going to approach this is an on-going discussion so please feel free to jump in with what you think.
But back to your original question about spending our resources on adding 'anything under the sun' or making the synchronization and connections smarter and more solid, it boils down to what you guys want. We did get a lot of requests on more services which we tried our best to accommodate, and with feedback like yours (and by all means, our own gut-feeling on this as well) we'll go in and tweak every nut and bolt in how we're working with the services we have connected to make them even better.
Just keep it coming, Chris. We love to hear your 2¢ on stuff like this....
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Wow...you must have looked at my profile action from last night...I signed up for ping.fm ticked all the boxes and started pinging music. To my horror I realized all my activity had been pushed out to each service.
I looked in friendfeed and realized it was populated from Pownce, so disabled that in Friendfeed...and of course the twits and FF and Pownce etc...came flowing into S|B. So I start digging around S|B looking for an undo x amount of activity facility and discovered it's impossible to delete stuff easily.
So I went back to Twitter and FF and deleted all the rubbish, thinking the changes would propogate down to S|B but alas it was not to be..hence this post.
I think I need a SocialNetworking console that shows all the API plumbing between the services...so i can see if any wires are crossed.
S|B seems to have a good balance between technical and UI ...I was actually surprised that (only) 10,000 users were on board and pleasantly surprised at that..because the content seems good and not full of " I'm feeding the cat "..." I'm now picking my nose...and eating it " probably the Brain part of the S|B name scares them off to FaceBook.
I'm sure you guys want 10 x that number of users, but by keeping the service standards high you'll attract quality content in return.
Oh! and when you start monetizing, please offer at least payPal as a payment gateway. I cant believe Evernote only accept Google Checkout...I want to pay them some money, but not with a gateway that uses a GMail account for ID.
Oh and on Evernote, please incorporate their API when it is available...it's a great App/ Service
Cheers,
Chris
I’m in anticipation
