Inappropriate?I never seen that one before, looks nice. We do have a few other services we have to work on before that. But I'll definitely add it to the list.
Thanks for the tip!
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?I would be veeery happy to see Videosift.com in here.
It is the best place to watch videos, in my opinion.
Vimeo.com would also be cool, since it has quite a different selection of videos, which could use the promotion :)
I’m excited
-
Vimeo.com is one of my favorites and is already added, check out the list under Import Content and you'll find it. Videosift is added to our 'services to add' list, thanks for the tip. -
Inappropriate?A generic RSS support (or a complete metaweblog support) is most needed, I won't find secondbrain really usefull until my blog posts are imported as well...

Inappropriate?Your wordpress plugin should also support wordpress blogs when they are on other domains than wordpress.com. But a generic rss feed would solve that and provide support for other platforms as well.
-
That's indeed cool, as for now I use Metaweblog for that now, which doesn't show up too nicely. -
Inappropriate?I agree. Generic RSS support would be great, because we could get started using our favourite services without having to wait for specific support for the service. It would also give you a good overview of what services people are actually using.
I’m interested
-
Inappropriate?I'm also agree. Generic RSS support for president :)

Inappropriate?Evernote:
www.evernote.com -
Inappropriate?well I have some services I would like, post them individualy here!
First I would like to see support for Hyves.nl (or hyves.es, .be, .de, se as it is available in several languages). It's the most populair social network in the Netherlands
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?Well and as I said, I have several, one other important social network I would like to stay up to date with is: LinkedIn! I guess one of the fastest growing business networks (at least in Europe)
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? Thanks for your input Erik... We use Linkedin ourselves and I find it to be a great service. Right now Linkedin offer a feed for your network's updates but not one for your updates only (which would be what we'd pull into Secondbrain). But I'll add Linkedin to our list of services to look into in anyway. Later this week we're releasing better filtering for your updates allowing you to filter out what people posted, did or said. This way we hopefully can accommodate more services like Linkedin and similar.
I’m excited
-
Inappropriate?Great Johan, sounds promising and it makes Second|Brain even more my starting point on the online!
Hopefully hyves.nl can be included as well at some point? ;-)
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?Unfortunately, I can't promise you specific support for Hyves.nl any time soon. Here's what's going to happen (1 outta 3): a. We implement a generic RSS support that would let you hook up a service like that (most likely) b. We start localizing and add Hyves.nl to to our Dutch version (less likely) or c. We add support for Hyves.nl with Secondbrain in general (not likely).
By all means, man. I've added it to the list, but I don't want to get your hopes up for this one in the next few months, yeah? ;-)
I’m prioritizing quality over quantity (though it's a tough choice sometimes)

I understand that hyves.nl is mostly interesting for the Dutch users of SB, as it is (still) mostly a Dutch social network (foreign languages are available). I guess the generic RSS support is a good option.
By the way, if there is need for a Dutch version of Second|Brain I would be more than interested to help out! At the moment I can't convince my network here to use Second|Brain as they miss services like hyves or a Dutch lay-out.
So take your time and keep up the good work -
Isn't Joomla a CMS product? I'd be happy to add it to our watch-list, but could you fill me in on how you'd like to see it supported? -
yes it's a CMS, You can also build a blog with...
and the idea is to import the post but not with the RSS cause it will limited the numbers of post...
import like the other services in SB, ... -
Ah, cool. I see they offer an API as well so we'll look into it. Thanks for the input! -
Currently I don't think they have an API or other ways to connect to their service yet. But we'll definitely keep an eye on them. -
Inappropriate?identi.ca woudl be a good variant on twitter. Also Pownce, Plurk, Jaiku and other microblogging tools would be nice. But as I use identi.ca I would like to see this one.
Btw, it's open source and should be easily adaptable I guess. Otherwise, it has rss feed, so I'm waiting for the generic RSS feed :-)
I’m fond of identi.ca
-
Inappropriate? With an generic RSS feed you'd be able to add "REad it Later" aswell. (The firefox add-on, it offers an RSS-feed of your 'to-reads').
I’m currently holding 46 items in my "Read it later"-folder.

Inappropriate?SB should offer an HTML widget that can be embedded into blogs/ websites. I want to make my lifestream available to the visitors of my website without requiring them to visit SB or subscribing to my RSS. This is an easy automatic way for my to add content to my website.
