Can't fine license code

I know this is a stupid question, but where do I find my license code? I downloaded the recent update and now it doesn't recognize my version as having been paid for. I can't recall if you sent the license code to me by mail or some other way. I've tried a search of my system and mail box using various keywords, but can't find it.
