It's not possible given the way Check Off is currently designed. The main window is actually a sheet that is dropped from an imaginary window. For 4.0, I'm probably going to take a different route from that though.

Just adjust your sheet speed in the terminal and the menu will simply snap down:

defaults write NSGlobalDomain NSWindowResizeTime .003
